1. Por favor retírele la comida y agua a su mascota a la medianoche la noche antes de la cirugía.

 

2. Su mascota:

  • Debe estar en buena salud
  • Debe tener más de cuatro meses y menos de cinco años de edad
  • No debe tener exceso de sobrepeso
  • Debe pesar más de 4 libras

 

3. Por favor llegue al lugar de la operación a las 7:30 AM. No traiga más de dos mascotas.

 

4. Le daremos un formulario para que lo llene, autorizándonos a llevar a cabo la operación.

 

5. Le haremos algunas preguntas simples sobre su mascota. Una enfermera hará el examen preliminar.

 

6. Su mascota se quedará con nosotros hasta la tarde, cuando usted podrá regresar a recogerla.

 

7. Trataremos de darle la información más específica posible en cuanto a la hora a la que debe venir a recoger a su mascota.

 

8. Cuando recoja a su mascota, le daremos instrucciones sobre:

  • Cómo cuidarla cuando esté todavía soñolienta por la anestesia
  • Cómo mantener la herida en buenas condiciones
  • Cómo darle a su mascota el medicamento contra el dolor que le proveeremos
  • Cómo evitar que su mascota lama o muerda la herida
  • A quién llamar si surge una emergencia luego de la cirugía
